HW from 1/28/10

Due on 2/2/10:

* Signed Reading Log for January due. Bring it on Tuesday.

* Please work on your story in whatever way I indicated on your returned paper. This varies from student to student:

- Some of you have been asked to revise/correct your paper and send the revised part to me via email as soon as possible. I will email you back with further instructions after I have read your revisions. I don't want you to get behind, so please do this as soon as you can. Don't write another scenario until we have the ones you've already written in good shape, but do send me your revised ones as soon as possible!

- Some of you have been asked to revise/correct your paper, write one more scenario, and then email it to me for input. Please do this sooner rather than later, so that you won't get behind.

- Some of you have been told to continue on, writing a scenario or two. Please understand that you are always to revise/correct before continuing on, and please don't write more than one or two scenarios without sending it to me.

We are leaving this morning (Friday) for Vermont, and will be in the car all day today and Sunday. Tomorrow (Saturday) is the funeral, so I'm not sure how available I'll be this weekend. There is Internet access at the place where we're staying, however, so I will try to check in whenever I have a chance.

* Make the revisions to your paper (up to D2) on your typed copy:

--> If you need to make significant writing revisions (as indicated by my comments), please do make those revisions, then send the corrected paper back to me via email. Don't write any more until you hear back from me.

--> If you got a "good - keep going" message from me, make the grammatical revisions indicated, then write another scenario (or two, but no more than two) before sending it to me via email.

* Again, the work on the paper indicated above is due by sending it to me via email before Monday at 3:00 p.m.

* In class on Tuesday, you will turn in to me your written list of every "unanswered question" that has been raised in the first four pages of the Mystery Story. The examples we discussed include:

- What is David afraid is going to happen to him?
- What is in the letter to his mom?
- Why does he call the men “creatures”?
- What are the men/"creatures" up to?
- Etc.

Write down every one you can think of, to be turned in on Tuesday.
