HW from 9/8/11

Due on 9/13/11:

* Place the parent letter/course expectations handout in your notebook as page 1.

* Visit the class website. The address is listed on the bottom of the handout.

* Link to the homework blog. (Obviously you were able to do this, since you're reading this!)

* Send me an email using the address link on the website. Tell me which book you would like to read for your Reading Log. Also tell me what is your favorite breakfast food.

* Start reading for your Reading Log on Friday: 30 minutes daily. (Reading Log is due, signed by parent, at the end of the month.)

* Copywork #1 due Tuesday.

Guidelines for Typed Compositions

• double-spaced word processing document

(only final draft will be single-spaced)
• standard 1-inch margins
• 12-point Times New Roman font
• standard indentation for all paragraphs
• no extra lines before or after paragraphs
• header: name, class, assignment, date
• footer with automatic page numbering
• length requirement varies by assignment

Here is a sample header:

To send a paper to MarkUp:

* Include an extra blank page at the end of your document for me to write comments on when grading!

* Email the document as an attachment to LauraSitterding@MarkupSync.com

Note: If the document you attach is saved as a Word doc or PDF file, no formatting will be lost. Other formats may not import properly, and some may not import at all.

* Be sure your Word document is properly formatted like all out typed papers are, and that you've included the proper header.

* Be sure your name and the name of the assignment are in the subject line of your email and in the name of the saved document.
