Due on Tuesday, 10/29/13
1. Read the following verse (Mark 8:22-26) and translate it from third person point of view to first person point of view (which will be from the perspective of Jesus, using first person pronouns like "I" and "we"). Write or type (or cut and paste!) the original, underlining the words that need to be changed, then write or type (or cut and paste!) another copy, with the changes made and underlined.
Mark 8:22-26
They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”
He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.”
Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. Jesus sent him home, saying, “Don’t even go into the village.”
2. Read the following verse (John 14:2-4) and translate it from first person point of view to third person point of view. Write or type (or cut and paste!) the original, underlining the words that need to be changed, then write or type (or cut and paste!) another copy, with the changes made and underlined.
John 14:2-4
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
NOTE: Print or hand write these as directed. Do not email them to me!
