1) Continue working on your story. Begin by making sure you have a standard header (three lines long with a fourth blank line at the end), standard 1-inch margins, and 12-point Times New Roman font.
Your final draft of your paper must fall between 10-15 pages (according to the standard parameters). It is due on Thursday, 5/11. I can't wait to read them!
EXTRA CREDIT for EARLY COMPLETION
* Turn in a well-proofed, corrected, complete draft (D3) as an attachment via email to my regular email address before Sunday night at 9 p.m.: +3 points on your D3 grade
* Turn in a well-proofed, complete draft (D3) next Tuesday, 5/9: +2 points on your D3 grade
* Turn in a well-proofed, corrected, complete draft (D3) on Thursday, 5/11: no extra credit. It is due that day.
2) For your final memorization project, you have a choice. Choose ONE of the following assignments:
* Choose another verse to memorize from the sheet I gave you with all four verses on it. (I will email it to you again in case you can't find it. Make a memory card and begin committing the verse to memory.) OR
* Select another poem of at least four stanzas to memorize. If you choose this option, email your poem selection to me for approval before Monday morning. Print a copy as well and beginning committing the poem to memory.

Also, daily:
+ Read your (approved) reading log book for pleasure, aiming for at least 30 minutes daily. Mark the number of minutes on your Reading Log calendar (in multiples of five, rounded down) as you go along.
+ Write in your gratitude journal daily, listing at least three things you are thankful for each day. When you have done so, place a small check mark in the top corner of your Reading Log calendar for that day.
+ Read your (approved) reading log book for pleasure, aiming for at least 30 minutes daily. Mark the number of minutes on your Reading Log calendar (in multiples of five, rounded down) as you go along.
