HW from Tuesday, 1/15/19

Due on Thursday, 1/17/19

1) Thursday is the end of the second quarter. Please be sure you bring me any items that are overdue and still need to be turned in! (Hint: If you gave me an excuse paper, you need to have completed it and turned it in after that.)

2) Make sure your notebook is in good order, with all the papers filed properly in the proper sections instead of shoved into the pockets. The only thing in your pockets should be the completed homework assignments you are waiting to turn in.

3) Make sure you have either shared your story document with me on Google docs OR that you have emailed the attachment to me and given me your gmail address so that I can open the document you sent me. I will share it back to you as a Google doc so you can fix it. 

4) I will send your proofread paper via Google docs ASAP, for you to make corrections and continue. Please do NOT go ahead in your story until you’ve received back your first scenario with permission to continue. 

5) Print your first meaningful verse essay and bring it to class on Thursday.

6) From the handout I gave you in class today, choose which of the two verses you would like to memorize.

7) Note the schedule for the verse openings below. (I have had to shuffle some names around, so you might be on a different week than you expected.)

Also, daily:

+ Read your (approved) book for pleasure, aiming for 30 minutes daily. Mark the number of minutes on your Reading Log as you go along—in multiples of five, rounded down—and have a parent initial it in the box each day. The January Reading Log is due on Thursday, January 31.

+ Continue to print out each homework blog entry, check off each assignment as you complete it, and have your parent sign the completed, printed sheet. Bring it to class each day.
