HW from Tuesday, 10/24/17

Due on Thursday, 10/26/17

1) Complete Copywork #5, which has been emailed to you. Be sure the dialogue is punctuated correctly.

2) Reread the character sketch I wrote about my grandmother and write down every example you see of figurative language on a sheet of loose leaf paper. Identify whether each example is a metaphor, simile, or personification. Be prepared to turn this in on Thursday.

3) Choose the person you will be writing your character sketch on. Remember, this must be a real person you know or have at least met. You do not need to begin writing your character sketch at all; just choose who you will write about.

Also, daily:

+ Read your (approved) book for pleasure, aiming for 30 minutes daily. Mark the number of minutes on your Reading Log as you go along—in multiples of five, rounded down—and have a parent initial it in the box each day. The October Reading Log will be due on Tuesday, 10/31/17. 

+ Make your bed! :)
