HW from Thursday, 1/11/18 (Classes Canceled – Snow!)

Due on AND BEFORE Tuesday, 1/16/18

1) In your Writer’s Inc. book, read pages 85-98. Take notes about what you think is important.

2) Create a properly formatted Word document for our next story. Create the proper header. Call it “Mystery Story.” Add the footer with the page number. Make it double-spaced. In the double-spaced, main body section of the document, write a descriptive paragraph of at least five sentences about a character named David. I want pure description. Do not tell a story. Describe him.

3) Email this document to me as an attachment to my regular email ASAP before Sunday.

4) Read to page 130 in the Mark Rodriguez book.

5) Bring both of your Scripture memory cards to class. Be prepared to recite both of your memory verses. Practice to get it word-perfect, with nice flow!

6) Bring your verse essay (for the opening) to turn in if you haven't already.

7) Be sure you have printed both the marked up copy and the revised, beautiful copy of your character sketch, and be prepared to turn both in tomorrow in class.

+ Read your (approved) book for pleasure, aiming for 30 minutes daily. Mark the number of minutes on your Reading Log as you go along—in multiples of five, rounded down—and have a parent initial it in the box each day. The January Reading Log will be due on Thursday, 2/1/18.
