Due ON AND BEFORE Tuesday, 1/9/18 (My Birthday!)
I hope you have enjoyed your snow days! Since we did not have class on
Thursday, please complete the following items before Tuesday:
1) Find your saved, typed copy of your character sketch. (This is
something you wrote and turned in previously.) Email it as a Word or
PDF attachment to the following email address (henceforth known as
"my Markup address"): laurasitterding@markupsync.com [Please
follow the instructions for sending a paper to MarkUp found in the right column
of this homework blog. Doing so will be part of your grade for this
assignment.]
This will import your document into an editing program. I will
edit it and email the "marked-up" MarkUp copy back to you. (We will
be using this MarkUp program extensively during the writing and editing of
your first complete story, which we will begin on Tuesday.)
2) Once you send your document to MarkUp, send me a text or regular email
to let me know that you have done so, so I can check that I have received
it successfully. Please send it ASAP—preferably today!—so that I
have time to mark it and send it back to you in time for you to make
the needed corrections to the document before Tuesday. (The first five papers
I receive will get two extra credit points for timeliness. The second five
papers I receive will get one extra credit point. The rest of you will
only get full credit if I have your paper before Monday.)
3) As soon as I can get it edited ("marked up"), I will email it back to you as an attachment. Print the MarkUp copy and a copy of your beautiful, edited draft (called D2) and bring them to class on Tuesday. You do not need to staple them together.

5) Bring both of your Scripture memory cards to class. Be prepared to
recite both of your memory verses. Practice to get it word-perfect, with nice
flow!
6) Bring your verse essay (for the opening) to turn in if you haven't
already.
