HW from Thursday, 2/1/18

Due on AND BEFORE Tuesday, 2/6/18

1) Complete the review handout I have emailed to you to make sure you are familiar with the main points of what we studied last semester. Also study the definitions you looked up and the class notes we took concerning plot. We will have a quiz on these materials on Tuesday.

2) I also emailed you a handout of the next two Scripture memory verses we will memorize. Choose which of the two you would like to memorize first, make a memory card for it, and begin memorizing it. Bring the new memory card to class on Tuesday.

3) Write your next verse essay for the opening. Remember to follow proper 3-paragraph essay form. You may look at my sample essay for an idea of what I’m looking for. Remember that the verse essays will be graded for proper form. You will turn your next verse essay in on Tuesday.

4) Continue with your mystery story if you would like. You do not need to write any specific amount, but don’t stop dreaming and scheming about the story and what you’re planning for the plot. Please come up with a good, clever title for your mystery story, based on your particular storyline, and email it to me in proper form to my regular email ASAP.

+ Read your (approved) book for pleasure, aiming for 30 minutes daily. Mark the number of minutes on your Reading Log as you go along—in multiples of five, rounded down—and have a parent initial it in the box each day. The February Reading Log will be due on Thursday, 3/1/18.

+ Review your two memorized Scripture memory verses (Titus 2:11-14 and Ephesians 4:29-32).
