HW from Tuesday, 2/13/18

1) Using the “poems” (song lyrics) on the handout from class, find a set of song lyrics that demonstrates a discernible, regular rhyme scheme. This may be a contemporary pop song, a hymn, a children’s song, whatever. Type up the lyrics and email them to me at my regular email as an attachment. Also print a copy and bring it to class on Thursday.

2) Continue memorizing your new Scripture memory verse (Philippians 4:4-8 OR 1 Chronicles 29:11-14). Be ready to recite your verse in class.

3) Continue writing your mystery story. You should write at least 1-2 pages every day until your story is completed.

NOTE: Send me a text whenever you finish a complete draft of your entire story. This will be called D4, whether it is 12 pages long or 25. The goal at this point is to work toward finishing your story as soon as you can, but please write well—we want a good story, after all, and that takes care!

Also, daily:

+ Add at least 1-2 pages per day to your mystery story until you have completed it.

+ Read your (approved) book for pleasure, aiming for 30 minutes daily. Mark the number of minutes on your Reading Log as you go along—in multiples of five, rounded down—and have a parent initial it in the box each day. The February Reading Log will be due on Thursday, 3/1/18.

+ Review your two memorized Scripture memory verses (Titus 2:11-14 AND Ephesians 4:29-32) daily.

+ Practice and work on memorizing your new Scripture memory verse (Philippians 4:4-8 OR 1 Chronicles 29:11-14) daily.
