HW from Tuesday, 3/20/18

Due on Thursday, 3/22/18

1) Complete the memorization of your selected poem. Use the tips for memorization handout, which I gave you back when we started our Scripture memory. You will need to have your poem committed to memory by Thursday. You will not recite the poem from memory for the class on Thursday, but you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have learned the poem in its entirety.

2) Continue to flesh out your Theme Story Planning Worksheet, adding details about your setting, characters, and plot ideas as you develop them. Do not answer question #1 yet.

3) Print another clean copy of your springboard poem (“I Am”) and bring it to class on Thursday.

4) Plan for your next meaningful verse essay. You will need to write the essay and turn it in before Spring Break (by next Thursday, 3/29).

5) Work on your final revision of your mystery story (D5) if you haven’t already turned it in. It is now due. This will be the final draft of your mystery story, and this grade will count as a test grade (double).

6) Be prepared for your Scripture memory quiz on the other two verses. It will be the same format as the one you already took.

Also, daily:

+ Read your (approved) book for pleasure, aiming for 30 minutes daily. Mark the number of minutes on your Reading Log as you go along—in multiples of five, rounded down—and have a parent initial it in the box each day. The March Reading Log will be due on Thursday, 3/29/18.

+ Each day, review your four memorized Scripture memory verses (Titus 2:11-14, Ephesians 4:29-32, Philippians 4:4-8, 1 Chronicles 29:11-13).

+ Make your bed!
