Due on 3/21/13:
* Pray for Gloria and her family as they walk through the pain of Ian's death.
"'Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,' says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
- Isaiah 54:10
* Complete both sides of the handout entitled "Theme" story plans, which I gave you yesterday. You will show this to the sub tomorrow to receive credit for having done it, but it will not be turned in until next Tuesday, when you will also turn in the start of your story.
NOTE: You will follow the directions at the bottom of the handout with the two different conventional ways to start a story--i.e. begin with the setting or begin with the characters--for homework over the weekend, to be turned in next Tuesday. There will be more directions in class tomorrow--and here on the homework blog--but I just wanted you to recognize that you do not have to do that for tomorrow.)
* I will not be in class Thursday as I will be attending Ian's service at 11:30. You will have a sub and will be completing a poetry assignment to be turned in at the end of class. Please also come prepared with the necessary materials to do all of the following if you finish early: work on your theme story, read your Reading Log book, and review your memorization for your recitation poem and memory verses.
* Practice delivering your selected recitation poem from memory. Be sure you are comfortable with the memorization and are reciting the poem with confidence and expressive delivery. You will be reciting it to the class after the KEYS spring break. Do not put this off!
* You should be prepared to recite any of the three memory verses at any time (Psalm 141:3, Titus 2:11-14, and Ephesians 4:29-32). You might choose to review one verse each day so that they stay fresh in your mind.
