Due on 3/12/13:
* Complete the handout I gave you yesterday on Haiku. Follow the directions exactly.
* Be continually reviewing all notes so far in the poetry unit. We will have a quiz soon.
* Be sure you have memorized all three memory verses (Psalm 141:3, Titus 2:11-14, and Ephesians 4:29-32). You might choose to review one verse each day so that they stay fresh in your mind. You should be prepared to recite any of the three memory verses at any time.
* Begin memorizing the poem you have selected for recitation, if it has been approved. You will be reciting it to the class after the KEYS spring break. Don't put this off!
* Be thinking about the next story you want to write. Specifically, consider:
- What theme might you like to illustrate?
- Which point of view will you write in (first or third person)?
NOTE: Third person is much more common and much easier to do well.
- Will you write in past or present tense?
NOTE: Past tense is much more common and much easier to do well.
